Saturday 24 June 2017 saw the Umlazi District Finals of the prestigious Copa Coca Cola U15 Tournament. There was a lot at stake with only the winner proceeding to the Provincial finals in August. The tournament went very much as planned in the opening two games of the pool, with Glenwood High School from Durban, running out comfortable 3-0 and 3-1 winners against Umlazi Com Tech and Phakathi Secondary respectively. PIETERMARITZBURG Girls’ High School first hockey team ended the 2017 season on a high, finishing second on the log just behind St Anne’s DSG, after a tough start to the season this year.
