WATER POLO: GLENWOOD HIGH vs NORTHWOOD HIGH: The Glenwood first team played Northwood in the pre-season league on Saturday morning hosted by Kearsney College. Despite the chilly weather our boys managed to start with great intensity and put a lot of pressure on the Northwood team with a tight press defence. This resulted in 4 good counter attack goals in the first chukka. This was the start we were hoping for as we had a number of juniors on the bench hoping to get their first cap for Glenwood first team. St Charles College Grade 0 boys shared a special morning with their parents on last Saturday. Different activities were set up around Scrummies, with the idea of showing parents some fun and educational games that can easily be replicated and played at home. The boys loved welcoming their moms and dads into their school and spending some quality time together! After watching the parents and boys working together, playing, interacting and laughing; we’re not sure who had more fun – the boys or their parents! The Security Hyperstore KZN Bisley Schools Interschools Competition, hosted by Glenwood High School, took place at Westwood Mall on 3 and 4 August, with the gala dinner held in the school hall on Saturday evening. Despite our captain, Thomas Rossouw, not being present as he is representing the South African School SANSSU BJI 2018 touring team that is competing in the United Kingdom, and which he is also the captain of, the Glenwood Target Shooting Team did very well. Glenwood teams placed first for Springer U21, Sporter U16 and overall Springer, with several rifle and pistol individuals also doing...Read More
The Glenwood first team water polo travelled to Northwood to take on the Grey College first team in a friendly on Friday. The game was a tightly contested affair between two fit and fast teams. Goals were hard to come by in the first half of the game with Grey scoring a penalty and Glenwood scoring a lucky goal after an error by Greys goalkeeper when he passed the ball directly to A. van Rooyen who put it into the open goal. The last two chukkas were extremely physical but the Glenwood boys kept cool heads and created a...Read More

God of Restoration
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. – Psalm 23:2-3
You can’t do anything about what’s gone, but you can do a great deal about what remains. You may have made some poor choices that have caused you awful heartache and pain. Perhaps you feel that your life is beyond repair. You may feel disqualified from God’s best, convinced that you must settle for second best the rest of your life.
Worse yet, perhaps it was somebody else’s foolish decisions that caused you to experience wrenching headache and pain. Regardless, you must stop dwel-ling on it. Forgive the person who caused you the trouble and start clean right where you are this morning.
If you continue to dwell on those past disappointments, you will block God’s blessings in your life today. It’s simply not worth it. Beyond that, God desires your restoration even more than you do! – Joel Osteen
